Phoenix, AZ - LASIK/Gen Oph - Illinois - Central Illinois Area - Arizona's largest eye care provider - with 65 locations (including a LASIK center) is seeking a skilled and motivated LASIK surgeon / General Ophthalmologist for a high volume position based in Phoenix. The LASIK volume will be 25-40 cases a day, 2-3 days a week. You should be experienced in using a B&L keratome, an Intralase unit, and comfortable with both Nidek and Visx lasers.
The general ophthalmology work is now being handled by two medical optometrists with all surgery referred out (referring out approx 600 cataracts/yr plus other procedures). The practice would now like to keep the surgeries "in house". The medical optometrists will perform all routine work and the full array of services allowed within their scope of practice. The ophthalmologist will only perform surgeries and those treatments which fall outside of the optometrists' scope of practice. It is believed all surgeries will be performed in local ASCs.
You will be provided with a base income guarantee, a productivity bonus plan, a complete benefits package, and the security of working for the largest eye care provider in the state of Arizona. Missouri - St. Louis Area Gen Oph Position - 31 year old St. Louis area practice seeks an associate for a partnership track position (the principle owners anticipate slowing down, taking more time off and turning volume over to their new associate). The practice has one full-time oph, 2 part-time ophs and an optometrist. The doctors are supported by 6 technicians and the practice generates 70+ patient visits daily. The office has 8 exam lanes, a minor procedure room and an optical dispensary in 5000+ sq ft of space. The St. Louis area (2.5 million+ population) offers a wide array of social and cultural amenities as well as outstanding educational opportunities and numerous outdoor activities.
The new associate will be given a base salary, productivity plan and a full benefits package. This is an equity-path position for the right candidate.
